  Heading Pet Stop is John Purtell, the trailblazer who originally founded the  

  Invisible Fence Company in the 1970s.  Under Mr. Purtell, the Invisible  

  Fence brand became synonymous with a $300 million industry.

  Invisible Fence was bought out in 1993. Since then, it has twice gone under

  new management and outsourced manufacturing to China.

In 2002, John once again banded with engineer Scott Touchton, manufacturing engineer Richard Kapolka, and IT manager James Deery – all former colleagues from his tenure at Invisible Fence – to form Pet Stop. No other pet containment technology firm has the kind of credentials or dedication that Pet Stop was founded on.

In the age of globalization and multinational corporations, it is becoming increasingly rare to find a technology firm whose every arm is housed within a single facility (or even in the same country). Pet Stop's equipment is designed, manufactured, tested, shipped, and troubleshot all beneath one roof.
